Oh, Summer of 2022 – You have already proven yourself amazing! Starting this summer with working on the beach, has thus far been fantastic! This Ocean City Family Beach Session was so perfect. From the colors to the laughter, I couldn’t help but smile while editing these images.

You know it’s going to be a good session when the kids are bringing you amazing seashells over and over again! How precious of a memory is that. If this little boy grows up to only remember how amazing it was to find seashells on the beach, I think my job was complete – even before the session started. I say that because these sessions should not be able remembering some lady with a camera tell you to smile. These kids should be remembering how much fun it was to feel the sand drip from their little toes. These kids should remember how peaceful the ocean was that night, when they walked up the path holding their parents hands. The parents should be remembering how easy it was and how much love their felt for their children as they watched them be wild and free in the wind that night. Their children soaked up the summer breeze and didn’t have a care in the world other than playing at the beach and laughing the entire time.

Ocean City, NJ is a place of memories by default. What you make of it, is purely up to you. I choose joy, each and every single day and you should too!

The beach is a place for fun, it’s a place to gather, and it’s a place where memories are made. There is never a bad day at the beach. When families reach out to me and tell me they would like me to photograph them on the beach, I am always excited. Every day the beach is different, the sand isn’t always in the same spot. The waves can be calm or they can be wild. There can be seashells or jelly fish, seaweed or clams. It can be a bright sunny day, or moody with overcast. It’s always a place to be expectation free, to go with the flow and see what happens. It’s natural and wonderful, and unique as each family session. This particular session was an Extended Family Beach Session in Avalon, NJ.

Avalon, NJ is one of my favorites places to photograph. The beaches are beautiful and the beach paths are out of this world! I am so lucky to be able to live in a place that most people call their vacation! To say I am blessed is an understatement! I have so many locations that I have up my sleeve but this one, this one is one of my favorites!

As the summer is coming to a close, that doesn’t mean beach sessions are over! I love beach sessions in September and even in October! Also, I have something up my sleeve that may include a peacock chair and some GORGEOUS flowers for late August/early September. I had the honor of photographing the Brooks family for their Summer Family Session in Galloway, NJ. Summer doesn’t always have to be the beach! There are so many beautiful locations that are often forgotten when the sun comes out! Yes, we love the beach and all things sandy and warm, BUT we don’t want to forget about all of the gorgeous hidden gems around Atlantic County! One of my favorite places to go is none other than Stockton University in Galloway, NJ! It’s right around the corner for me which is always nice, but more than that it’s BEAUTIFUL. Stockton does such a fabulous job at landscaping their grounds! It’s perfect for portraits, and even a picnic! (Seriously, bring a picnic basket to your session, that would be so adorable!)

Having your Summer Family Session in Galloway, NJ is so relaxing. Galloway is a not considered a shore town, so it’s usually quiet during the summer months. However, there are so many beautiful hidden gems within Galloway that make you really glad you decided to stop here. You’ve got multiple bay locations, campgrounds, a gorgeous university, and countless parks and playgrounds. It’s the perfect location for a summer portrait session.

Family Beach Photography in Longport, NJ is always my favorite! Longport is such an amazing small town. Not a lot of people know about it and the families that visit keep to themselves. The beaches are always clean, and it’s not one of those super crowded shore towns, so having your photos taken on the beach during the summer in Longport, aren’t a hassle! They’re peaceful and very relaxing! Not only that, there are SO many amazing things to do at the Shore in the summer! You can make an entire family evening out of your session. There is Lucy The Elephant, a historic landmark in Margate just a few streets over, as well as some of the very best restaurants! To name a few, some of my favorites are Ventura’s Greenhouse Restaurant in Margate, Steve & Cookie’s By the Bay also in Margate and Domenico’s in Ventnor!

Creating memories with your images should be the top priority! Before that of course, you should always chat with your photographer on what to wear! There are so many options and I can guide you on what works best for your family, and of course, you can wear those stunning outfits out on the town, to dinner (and of course, the boardwalk!)
