Jersey Shore Beach Portraits are the very best activity to invest in while on vacation! I say activity because it’s so much more than just a photo session. Having fun with your family and documenting every moment is so special. You are making fabulous memories and will always remember this wonderful time with your family. I grew up a the beach, and it is my favorite place to be. Living in South Jersey has always been the best. I’ve been lucky enough to see the beach in all of the seasons, eaten ice cream and pizza after beach visits and walked on the boardwalk with cotton candy, Johnsons popcorn! I’ve had Polish Water Ice on warm summer nights, and I’ve sat on the beach talking for hours at night listening to the waves crash on the beach. To say I am lucky is an understatement.

As a professional photographer I am able to share my love of the beach, and of family with my amazing clients who come down here for amazing Jersey Shore Beach Portraits! My favorite place to photograph is in Ventnor, however, all of our beaches are beautiful! My favorite time is one hour before the sun starts to set. The beaches are mostly people free, and the sun is setting and giving us that beautiful golden hour every photographer craves! The water is the warmest in July and August, and after each session I always encourage some water fun! What’s a trip to the beach without that?

We are at it again! We loved hosting the Atlantic City Boudoir Marathon SO MUCH, we decided to bring it back! Only this time, in addition to boudoir, we are also offering glamour! What does that mean exactly? Oh, I am so beyond excited to tell you! Glamour means, beauty, it means feeling amazing about yourself. If you aren’t quite ready to show off your bod in lingerie or a robe, bring some fancy clothes, a ball gown perhaps! Whatever makes YOU feel beautiful. You will have the most gorgeous images captured of yourself, to show off to friends, family, and your loved ones. Why not indulge and have your hair and makeup done and document this experience? Sessions are being held in the most amazing suite in Atlantic City at The Golden Nugget and will include hair and makeup by the most amazing MUA in the industry, Mia Crivaro of Creations by Mia! She is the absolute best, and I use her exclusively for all of my clients.

We will have gorgeous products on display and available for order at your session. I’m talking little black books, folio’s, and matted prints! You’re going to want to see these! We are big on products, and want you to get your images printed! Albums start at $400, and we do offer payment plans on all orders. Your images will be ready 2 weeks after your session to come in to our studio to view and order your images. We will help you through this entire process and make it an amazing experience for you. This sort of thing should not be difficult, thats why we are offering our full service studio experience, complete with bites and refreshments.

It’s that time of year again for the Atlantic City Boudoir Marathon! I get so excited when the summer sessions roll around! Everyone is sun kissed and happy! It’s just a big party!

In the past few years, we have been to a few different hotels. The Ocean View Penthouse Suite in The Chelsea, The House of Blue Suite at The Showboat, Luxury Suites at Caesars, and our favorite so far, The One Bedroom Suite at The Golden Nugget! We liked the Golden Nugget SO much, that we are going back this summer! It’s such a gorgeous room! I have BIG plans for the Summer Boudoir sessions this July! A few secret surprises and some really, really exciting news to share with my clients! It’s hush hush until that night!

So what happens at a boudoir marathon? Here are some frequently asked questions to help you make the decision – to book or not to book?

What is a boudoir session?
Think glamour but sexier! Boudoir photography is an intimate portrait session where you get to feel gorgeous, let your confidence shine, and create the most gorgeous images of yourself. You will get to SEE who you have always FELT inside.

Why do you call it an Atlantic City Boudoir Marathon?
Well, simply because I have the marathon in Atlantic City. We have had great success with the beautiful hotels that Atlantic City has to offer, and we like to stay local!

What is a Boudoir Marathon?
A marathon is when a few sessions take place on the same day, in the same location. Each session has a different time slot with a 10 minute window between sessions. They are still private, but have a central location for hair and makeup.

Why should I do a boudoir session?
There are so many different reasons to do a boudoir session. You could be gifting these images to your significant other for a birthday or a holiday such as Valentine’s Day, you could be engaged and wanting to deliver a gorgeous album as a bridal gift to your new spouse, or maybe you would like to deliver a super spontaneous gift to your significant other, or be doing this for yourself, because let’s face it, we all like to get dolled up and feel sexy!

What do I wear to a boudoir session?
I suggest that you bring 5 outfits to choose from, and I will select my favorite 3. Now I don’t just pick 3 I think are pretty, I find the 3 that I think will look best on your body. I do however, give you advice ahead of time and direct what I think would look best for your shape. It’s good to go to a lingerie store that specilizes in well fitting clothing. Also, you can be fun and bring props like a football and your husbands favorite football jersey. Or perhaps he is into baseball, bring his glove, a baseball and his favorite team shirt! We can go into more details on that, but imagination is key! The impotant thing here is to wear what makes YOU feel sexy! If it’s your favorite pair of jeans a tank top and a good pair of hot pink pumps, then we will take the most amazing photos ever!

I am really shy, I don’t know if I can do this!
Don’t be shy! This is a very fun experience. I work with an all woman team, that means me (the photographer), hair and makeup (all women!) Have some chocolate and sip some champagne! It will be okay!

I am not shy at all, can I be completely nude?
Boudoir is implied nudity, however I will never tell you to take off or put on clothing. Do whatever makes you feel sexy, and I will be there to create beautiful, tasteful images for you.

How many photos do I receive?
You will receive 10 digital negatives of your choice.

Can I purchase additional digitals?
There will be many photos to choose from, and you will be able to order prints from those proofs. For ever print you buy, you will receive that digital for free.

Can I bring a friend or family member?
Yes! Please understand that this is an all woman event, and I request that spouses be left at home. Limit yourself to 1 guest, for moral support, or if they would like to book a session that they do so in advanced so there is time for photographing!

Do I need to do my own Hair and Makeup?
Hair and makeup is included in marathons, but a seperate cost for regular sessions. If you would like to have your hair and makeup done for a regular session you may do so, or I can have it arranged at the studio before your session.

How long will a session last?
Boudoir Marathon’s are 30 minutes for hair and makeup and 30 minutes for photographing.

Who will see my images? Will my Images be uploaded onto the BOKEH LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY website and Social media?
As you can see in this blog post, I do post previews once a year of sessions held the previous year. They do not get posted to social media, just my blog as of right now.  I never show faces unless permission is given. None of these photos are reconizable, except for my own! (Yes, there are photos of me in this blog post) In the future I will feature a section on my website with boudoir images, but again, never will I show faces without written permission to do so.

Do you have any advice to help me prepare for my Boudoir Session?
Yes, of course I do!
-Lotion is a must! Please moisturize before your session to avoid dry skin that will show up in photos.
-Do not wear tight clothing the day of your session. Please wear bagging clothing including bra’s and panties to avoid marks on skin.
-Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of your session to hydrate your skin!
-Do not color hair the day before the shoot.
-If you decided to have nails done, please do so the day before the shoot.
-Do not get a facial the week of the shoot to avoid red skin.
-Do not tan the day before the shoot, please do so 3 or 4 days ahead of time to avoid discolorations in your skin.
-Do not wear makeup, makeup will be done for you.
-Do not arrive with wet hair, hair must be dried.

It’s easy to say that you will never take boudoir photos. It’s a scary thing, to get in front of the camera, and shed your clothing. I know, because I’ve been there. I decided to get in front of the camera last year, at my summer boudoir marathons. It was scary; I will not lie to you. After a few minutes, I started to see a change in myself. I felt good, I felt empowered, I felt free. It was finally me being myself, and being proud of myself for doing something I would never do. I started out doing this for my husband, thinking he would love this! It soon became something I wanted to do FOR ME! I needed a self-esteem boost, after having two kids; I didn’t think my body was, ya know, where it should be. I couldn’t believe how happy I was with my body, with myself, and how proud and excited I was to show my husband the photos. He loved them, of course, but I wasn’t even afraid to show him, because I was pleased with how I looked.

I want to take you all through a walkthrough of how these sessions are. In the past, I go above and beyond to get these amazing suites. I booked the sessions an hour apart, to give ample time for hair, makeup, and privacy. This boudoir marathon I am going to show you was at the Showboat just before it closed. I knew I had to book this amazing suite, because it would cease to exist, had I not booked it! It was called, the House of Blues Suite! It was majestic, fabulous, dark, and romantic. It wasn’t like my other boudoir marathons were – bright and airy. It was definitely different, but I loved the mood it was giving the photos.

I of course, take care of my clients, and had gifts and cookies prepared for them! (and some pink champagne to loosen up the nerves) The cookies (so delicious) were designed and baked by the fabulous Flourish! Upon entering there was a gorgeous sitting area where hair and makeup was being done. Angela Campanale did hair and Kiara Upsher did makeup. They are both seriously, the sweetest! Angela works at a local hair salon and is AMAZING and Kiara owns her own cosmetic business so everything she puts on you is also for sale. She can even make you a custom foundation blend (just ask!) and all of her products are not tested on animals, and are super friendly for even the most sensitive of skin! To start, I want to show off my own photos. I definitly broke out of my shell and opened up a lot! It was exilerating and I am so happy and proud to have these photos to show off (and give to my hubby)!

All of the women who came out were amazing! They had so much fun, and even came with friends! I encourage friends to tag along, and if they want a session or to jump in, make sure to pre book so we are prepared and you get the hair and makeup! Also, everyone who books, goes home with a goodie bag! It’s my special treat to end this night with something fun!

I am so excited to announce that the January Boudoir Marathon in Atlantic City is finally here! These have become very well known with BLP and I look forward to planning them every year! Having these twice is a year is really fun because I get to plan a winter and summer one in totally different hotels. Each year we get so many women coming out to get photos taken for their boyfriends, husbands, partners, and even for themselves! In July, I even got them done!!

Last year we booked the a Penthouse Suite at the Chelsea in Atlantic City and the House of Blues Suite in the Showboat Hotel & Casino.

Both locations were high end and pure luxe! They are amazing! This year we looked around and decided to stay in Atlantic City! In January we will be going to the Golden Nugget in a 1 bedroom Suite. This means great things, and I will tell you why. Privacy is HUGE for me, and I want everyone to feel comfortable doing this. This suite has a living room and a private bedroom with sliding doors. So while all of the ladies are getting their hair and makeup done, munching on delicious snacks, and listing to fab music, the shooting area will be private! It’s great because you don’t have to feel pressured to do anything in front of anyone, and you can focus on getting amazing pictures taken!

January 2015 Boudoir Marathon in Atlantic City Details:

When: January 13, 2015

Where: The Golden Nugget Hotel & Spa, Spa Tower, 1 Bedroom Suite (I will be emailing everyone upon checkin with the room number)

Time: Checkin to the hotel is at 4:00. The first appointment is at 4:30, Everyone is encouraged to come 1 hour before their appointment to ensure that we are running on time!

Hair & Makeup: Your hair and makeup is all done! SO EXCITING! All shoots will be in the private bedroom (with sliding doors), the bathroom (bathtub with bubbles), or in the living room if you don’t mind other ladies laughing, dancing, and singing to music! If you want to do the bathtub with the bubbles, please bring bathing suit bottoms, and a towel! Shooting will last 30 minutes, and as promised you will get 10 digital files. (But for those of you know KNOW ME, you KNOW you will be getting more than that)

What should I bring?: A robe for getting ready, 2-3 outfits (a black bra and panties is a must) Think FUN, SEXY, and FEEL GOOD! Props definitely! Boyfriends, fiance’s, girlfriends, husbands, etc. What do they like/do? Examples: Football jersey, dirt bike helmet, fire fighter pants, work shirt, tie, police hat/shirt, guitar, etc. If you would like some ideas on what to wear to your session, click here!

Can I bring someone?: Yes! You sure can! I’ve had Mom’s, sisters, BFF’s! We just ask that men and children stay home. This is a ladies only event, and not appropriate for men and children.

What will this cost? What is the Investment?: $375 includes hair, makeup, the suite, digitals, AND a Pearl Iguana Folio with two wallets of your choice. And of course munchies!

Do you sell Albums?: Albums will be on display for purchase. Custom albums are also available. Also everyone will receive a price sheet of available products with order deadlines guaranteed to be delivered by Valentines Day!

Legalities:

Terms & Conditions: The only images that will be shown publicly are images that do not include faces. Images that do show faces need to sign an additional contract stating that you agree to have images publish publicly. $100 non-refundable retainer is due upon booking to reserve your session, and the rest is due 1 week before shoot date (January 6th). All images will be delivered online via a password protected client access website in both color and b&w.
